We love a good Burnham. It’s a mid weight cowhide but still has the ability to soften & drape. The surface is velvet & it lends to rustic, yet still refined asthetic. Garnet is a gorgeous neutral that will still make heads turn with its cherry color and warm brown undertones.
This custom Celyn satisfies the monochromatic loving heart with Garnet being showcased in every detail, down to the perfectly matched thread.
The lining compliments, nay, enhances the leather imo. It brings together hues of cherry with pops of saffron, orange & green. It is a most lovely cotton canvas that is not too heavy & quite soft.
I tried a different interior pocket method that invites Burnham inside. It is less bulky & doesn’t wrinkle as much when you open the pocket (which drives me batty with classic welted pockets).
The strap is a layered monochrome in a 21” length (including hardware) that will slip over any shoulder with ease. The top zip zipper pull, the classic D-ring holders, the key fob & the big beautiful tassel are the final touches of garnet on this bag. It’s a gorgeous bag that I am proud to send home!
